traditional blueberry today!

Today in Bryce was a mix of every precipitation: rain, sleet, hail, freezing rain, snow! There was the brief occasional break of sun that came in 4 minute intervals, so I decided to eat more pie! Banana cream didn't really do it for me yesterday, so I went with traditional blueberry today :).

I did the Bryce driving tour today and timed my photo ops with the occasional breaks in weather. Bryce Point is breathtaking btw!! Tomorrow I'll be doing a morning horseback ride through the canyon, followed by some overdue hiking :)

Awesome pie! :) Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry

just call me "handy"!!

Just installed new paper towel holder in the camper! This is a big deal in my world! And yes, I'm aware the placement right over the burners could spell trouble, but I'll be careful!! :)  Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry

Antelope Canyon is the most breathtaking canyon I've ever seen! I took a million pictures and I'm mesmerized by each and every one of them! Antelope Canyon is a MUST SEE! The beams of sunlight cascading through the canyon is awe-inspiring. Thanks, Jeff! (Nice camper I met in Moab gave me the tip!) MORE PHOTOS CLICK HERE!

dead horse point state park | utah

Towering 2,000 feet above the Colorado River, Dead Horse Point features a dramatic overlook of the Colorado River and Canyonlands National Park.

The legend of Dead Horse Point states that around the turn of the century the point was used as a corral for wild mustangs roaming the mesa top. Cowboys herded them across the narrow neck of land and onto the point.  The neck was then fenced off with branches and brush. One time, for some unknown reason, horses were left corralled on the waterless point where they died of thirst within view of the Colorado River 2,000 feet below -- hence the name "Dead Horse Point". They were very bad bad cowboys. :( SEE MORE PHOTOS HERE!

four corners monument!

The Four Corners Monument marks the only spot in the United States where four states meet: Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico and Utah! My #ss was in four states at the same time! :)
