tahquamenon falls campground

The folks I met in Paradise, MI (Tahquamenon Falls Campground) will be in my heart forever -- even if the "blueberry festival" had no blueberries!?

Mike and Annette, I hope there's a spot on the lawn for my teardrop! I will be visiting sooner than later! I think you said you were on five acres? That will work just perfect! (haha) Mike & John: I'll give you fair warning so you can make your FABULOUS brisket again! Mike and John were on "meat" shifts every few hours throughout the night. These men are serious about their meat and it showed! The brisket was amazing! Kim and Lea: we miss you already! Annette: I have a feeling we'll be going to India someday. You're an incredibly special person and I'm so glad I we met! Even if it was through a bathroom stall!

Chris, Vic, Mary & Simon: I love you guys. Chris, especially you! Thank you so much for being you. I appreciate your generous heart so much, and I will DEFINITELY make it to see Gwen Frostic's shop next year!! Thank you so much for my new stationary!

Doug & Theresa: my first friends at camp! You guys are simply terrific people. You "get it" and I hope a little rubbed off. :) Thanks for inviting me to breakfast and helping me with my camper questions!!

Ten minutes after meeting Annette, she gave me a "camper-warming" present! Annette couldn't believe I didn't have "party lights" for my camper yet, so she gave me a set of her radically retro "leg lamp" lights (from the Christmas Story)! Btw, I should mention, Mike and Annette have an awesome Airstream trailer! We had so much fun together!

Here's a picture of my new "party lights"!!

I do not believe in a coincidence but I do believe in my faith! Yes, while using the bathroom camping I met my friends from NYC Diana, Lulu was out front waiting for her. In the midst of me planning a trip to NYC in October I thought what a good opportunity to find out the best restaurants and shows playing in NYC, never miss a moment! Trying to synchronize my toilet flushing so I did not miss any important information! That is where our weekend began, after an invite back to our trailer followed by a glass of red wine (maybe two)! WE shared, we laughed, we gave and yes, she touched my heart! I was very impressed with my new found friend, that she could definitely hold her own out in the wilderness. Along with, digesting the piece of beef that went with her organic diet! We conversed over life in the city, to what should happen if she meets up with a bear in the woods! Yes, we have not seen the movie, A Christmas Story, but we have certainly been lead to some amazing people in our life journey. When I kissed the top of her head to say Good-bye, I know it would only be for a short time!

By the way, yes, there is a piece of my heart and land here at our home that is open for you!

Love,
Mike and Annette

Girl Reinvented, you are an amazing woman! Heard a song today and thought of you... New York City's Killing Me by Ray LaMontagne! ha ha You need to have a sign custom made... the word TOUR with a red circle and line through it. I told you, you need to be direct! Yes, everything in life happens for a reason (at least that's what I believe). You and Annette were meant to be in the bathroom at the same time... and I'm so happy to have met you by default. :-) When you arrive in AA next, we'll eat, yoga, and laugh together on Annette's 5 acres (and listen to some Dave Matthews of course)! Can't wait! Peace, love, and safe travels!

love, kim, leah, and john
